ADA detectable warning surface tiles are the ideal underfoot tactile surfacing solution. Each warning tile is engineered with raised half domes that can be felt and heard by visually impaired pedestrians when encountered with a walking cane or when stepped on. The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requires detectable warning surfaces around crosswalks, in parking garages, at the entrance to escalators and other places where there is either vehicle traffic or an elevation change that could pose a danger.
These ADA-Compliant warning tiles are available in many sizes and 5 different colors depending on your application.
The Cast in Place style truncated domes are engineered to be installed into wet concrete and after curing the tiles can be unscrewed from the feet base to make for easy replacement in the future should that be needed. This easy maintenance feature of replacing individual tiles has made them extremely popular with municipalities in North America.
