Watts LF4001E 2 - Part of the LF4001E Series
This 2 inch lead free dielectric union device electrically separates the water heater from the piping. It is used in applications such as hot water storage tanks, water and air conditioners, processing tanks, steam, gas, and water piping used in commercial and residential applications. It also provides a convenient way to disconnect the piping for removal or servicing of an appliance. It is designed to be installed between the pipes made from dissimilar metals to prevent accelerated corrosion and deterioration in the piping system due to galvanic and stray current. It consists of a female iron pipe thread to a solder pipe connection, union nut, two tailpieces, and a gasket that separates the tailpieces to prevent an electric current from occurring.
